I am not beyond explaining to them that there is a reason why there are only two ramps and 50 parking spaces. Move it.

When I back in everything is ready to go except unhooking the slack winch line. When I pull on I re-hook the winch, raise the motor and scoot. It's not only good etiquette, it's just plain common sense.

Exactly. Fish a tournament and you learn quick.
Yep there have been many ramp fights over just this... a lack of commomn sense.

Never heard it used as slang for a pontoon before, but I have for something else entirely different.

We have it down to a science. We can launch in 30 seconds or less, load and be off the ramp in 2-3 minutes.

With me and a buddy we can be on the trailer before it stops in the water. (One time he thought he was too crooked and pulled the trailer out at the last minute. We don't talk about that.)

Back in the 80s / 90s when I was a member of the Atlanta water ski club, I learned that the tow boat / trailer set up is the absolute fastest way to launch and trailer a boat.
The trailers have a automatic latching system that never requires anyone to "hook-up" the boat.
All the boat driver has to do is drive onto the trailer till you hear the click, give a wave to the truck driver then you're off the ramp.
And just the opposite for launching simply unhook the latch at the baottom of the ramp then back the boat/trailer into the water till she floats away with the boat/truck driver never getting his/her feet wet.
