Covid is right here, and it's getting bad fast.

Crazy, huh.
From the article
The lab has not received any federal funding from the US National Institutes of Health since July 2020, according to an HHS spokesperson.
When Trump discovered the NIHS was providing the lab research money, he cut it off. The Biden administration is trying to make it sound like they cut the funding to the lab. This is not the first time this administration has tried to take credit for something the previous administration did.

Pfizer milking this for as long as they can. I'm sure some will get it. Still lots of people out there wearings masks and living in fear.

cptlo - you never got COVID, did you?

I don't think so. If I did, it presented like normal allergy symptoms or was asymptomatic.
I suspect the working from home and stuff probably contributed to that. You will probably get it sooner or later, but hopefully the kinder, gentler version.

I never got it, and I was exposed several times.

I worked with the public and all during covid. I had to go out to the bank and grocery stores to get supplies we could not get through our normal suppliers.

I think it is because I wore the mask hanging off my ear instead of on my face. My theory is that I got enough exposure in little amounts that my body got to know what it was and created antibodies without getting sick.

Probably and hopefully the kindler, gentler version. I'm still not exactly a party animal but I, like I assume most people, don't even think about Covid any more.

Also.... This is very, very bad news:

Not related to that event, but both my Wife's and my FIL Blood pressure med prescriptions came up short this week, the Pharmacy didn't have enough. For my wife's they mentioned "Backordered" . That's not a good sign either.

Well, most of us naturally want to move past that whole nightmare. While that might put us at more risk, it beats living in fear.

Medical science has acknowledged that a small percentage of people seem to have a natural immunity to it. And they still don't know why, but they want to. Maybe you are one of the lucky ones.

Blood type was a factor in the original variant, but that went out the window with Delta

My mom before they transferred her from the hospital to the rehab facility was given a Covid test as the rehab facility required it.. Even though for 7 days while in the hospital had no fever, or any other symptoms... they said she tested positive.

And guess what they put on her death certificate!

More to the story:

I tested myself when I got home, I was negative.

The next day she still was normal like before, no symptoms or fever.

I said, "Please test her again. I have been with her, at the hospital, in her private room, every day all day, I tested negative." I told them from June 22 to July 1 she was alone at her home because her hips hurt and she was waiting to get cortisone shots to get rid of her hip pain from arthritis inflammation that was making walking so painful. I have brought in groceries to her, she has not been exposed to any other person than me.

Several of the nurses said they had asked her about any possible exposure, they confirmed that she said until coming to the hospital she has been at home since June 22nd (the day she got back to San Diego from seeing my brother in Hawaii.)

I asked 3 different doctors to retest.

I was told, "The state knows she is covid positive so it does not change it."

I said, "It matters because she needs therapy to start getting stronger to walk and with the diagnosis of Covid, she can't go to the rehab facility."

I said, "I tested and at this point I am negative and you take her temperature every few hours, and have for the 8 days she has been bed ridden here, with no temperature. Please can we do another Covid test? Let's retest and make sure it was not a false positive."

I was told, by the doctor, that the false readings are only when they test negative then later they get covid! Guess who made more money because they could say she was positive?

They found a therapy center that would take Covid positive people. They moved her there. The next morning I took an at home covid test to her and guess what? Negative.

I asked the facility to retest since she had yet to develop any fever or symptoms, and I showed the at home test showed negative. It took 3 more days of my pleading for a retest. With a covid positive diagnosis she could not be showered. She had gone 9 days without a shower, which broke my heart.

Finally they tested her and she was negative, as I thought... but the ass holes put Covid contributed to her death, which is a total lie.
