Covid is right here, and it's getting bad fast.

It was close. We need 67% Yes to disaffiliate, we got just over 69%.

Due West also voted to leave, it was nearly 85% there for yes.

Powder Springs and Dallas were to my knowledge, never requested a vote, so they will stay.

Villa Rica voted, but the vote failed, so they will stay UMC.

I don't get all the broken heartedness over leaving the UMC myself. The UMC was formed on in 1968 during a merger. The church will be the same, just under a different umbrella. People were saying, what if we can't donate to UMCORE? (the UMC relief agency) I'm like "Are you kidding? Do you REALLY think they would turn your money down if you wrote them a check????"

imho - God is a 'big picture' kinda deity. Titles and protocols probably rank pretty low.

I'm a Frisbeetarian

... we believe that when you die, your soul flys up on the roof, and you can't get it down.

I'll be here all week. Tip your waitress.

There are some claims that the “new” round is actually from the shot and follow up boosters. I’m don’t necessarily believe it would be interesting to know if those affected this time had received any.

The people at work who have gotten covid last week are sick sick 2 days. Body aches, and a fever. Sore throat kicks in with a runny nose at the end of the first day. Sleep made them feel better by second day. Fever disappears sometime during second day, but still some body aches.

Cough starts by third day and happens more when you are talking, body aches stop . Runny nose continues past day 3. By morning of 4th day feeling pretty normal.

Intermittent cough continues at least to day 7, based on one of my employees who is on day 7 with occasional blowing of nose.

I have worked with both of them the days before and when they came back to work and not gotten sick... I ain't skert.

Not sure I believe that though as I am sure the one the wife and I got is the new variant. I am vaccinated (no boosters) and got it, only one day of feeling bad. My wife got it, not vaccinated, she was down for the count for a few days.

I had a raw throat on Tues night, worst was 2 days later when I couldn't sleep for fever, sinus and coughing Thursday night. Took the test the following Monday when I found them, and it was a mild positive. Never had body aches, but like before, just had no energy. I was dragging everywhere. Test last Friday was negative, but like most virus I've had, my sinuses take forever to recover, and my allergies getting worse over the years are not helping. With the drop in outside temps with this rain, I dropped the inside temp down last night and slept better than I have in a long time. :sleepy::sleepy::sleepy:

They will lock us down, take away our jobs, shut the schools, close the beaches and parks, and close the hospitals if they feel they can. It worked worldwide....

Just remember:

And we should remember who was the leader of the free world when all the shutdowns, etc. started happening.

Yes, I'm in an especially anti-Trump mood today. :D
Sounds like you’re missing your guy. He’s been busy dealing with the realities of a hurricane so he hasn’t been able to campaign today. He may have actually rose in polls.

Well, my daughter has covid again. Which means it will probably run through her family.

We won't see them for awhile.
I was surprised, either my wife still has some antibodies from last time, or this was not as catching. She's been sleeping next to me the whole time and only had a slight scratchy throat that was gone the next morning. it' was about a week to get past the fever and test neg, but another week to really start feeling close to right. All last week I was just dragging my butt every time I moved.
