rT numbers are down and they have been consistent for some time. We're in the summer which is thought to help limit the spread somewhat. So for now, it appears COVID is on the run. I suspect that between the vaccine and antibodies from having it, we've reached some level of herd immunity. Many businesses and even the most liberal governments are loosening restrictions somewhat, so I have to assume that the threat is not even a fraction of what it was.
Of course, it wasn't that long ago since we had the mass outbreak at my church, so maybe we should all continue to be aware that this beast isn't dead yet.
The big question is, what does the future hold? Will we have a fall outbreak? We did have some of that last fall, but of course we had an election too. Voting could have exposed people, and many think the virus was intentionally spread to keep people from voting. I have no comment on the latter. But we also had mass rioting and demonstrations last fall, and much of that was absolutely orchestrated.
Will the virus mutate and come back around?
I wish I knew.
The other question is...will the sheeple ever stop wearing their masks when not necessary? I mentioned to Guard Daughter today that she needs to tell one of her high school friends (liberal) that it's OK to take a selfie without a mask on. geeze!
