Covid is right here, and it's getting bad fast.

Pericarditis can have many origins, and as the condition presents uniquely in different patients, it is difficult to profess one root cause. However, most cases stem from an infection or a virus. When a cause is unknown, doctors may present a diagnosis of idiopathic pericarditis.

Great number!

The brother of a friend and his wife were both just hospitalized with COVID. He's not doing very good. He has pneumonia and will likely be put on a ventilator. I'm not sure of age but based on my friend's age, I'd guess they are in their late 60's or early 70's. Neither has been vaccinated.

Update on Mike and Diane: Both had to be put on ventilators, but both got better and were removed from the ventilators. Mike went home from the hospital a couple days ago. Diane is doing better but is still in the hospital and has a long road of recovery ahead.

They are blessed! Most people don't come off the ventilators until it's time to pull the plug on them.

As long as it stays with us dropping cases at 50% a week I think we are good.
I'd love to see it even lower, but these numbers are excellent, compared to what we've been through.

Barring another crazy variant, I really think we're on the back side of this monster.

He says 40% of those who recently died in Maryland were vaccinated. I searched but couldn't find any more context. Was that 4 out of 10? 40 out of 100? What were their ages and other health issues? There are too many questions to take anything of value from his claim.
