...Hiram's finest has an advertisement for a local roofing company on the back window of the patrol car?

That just didn't seem appropriate to me.

Not to mention the fact that he pulled out in from of me in Depot's parking lot...

If that's the new way to market your business, it's news to me.

ETA: Although, on 2nd thought, it would be great for bail and bond companies!

Does HPD have intentions of becoming a rolling billboard to increase revenues??? Does not sound right to me

Was it their DARE vehicle? I think it's a pickup?

If so, they (and the SO) will sell advertising space on the vehicle to help pay for the DARE program.

The Paulding County Sheriff's Office wants to warn citizens of a "police impersonator" in Paulding County.

No, Crown Vic

Maybe that fake cop that stopped and stole that ladies wallet moonlights as a roofer. You gotta give him credit, working 2 jobs to make ends meet.

I would call or email city hall and ask them why they are advertising private businesses. Make sure to get a rates sheet! lol

I've heard of this before, but not seen it around here. If I was the chief, I'd be VERY hard pressed to raise money in that fashion. I would consider it a conflict of interest. But that's just me 8)

Exactly

I saw that car the other day, and had the same thought.
Does that mean that if I pay for the ad on the back windshield of the patrol cars that I could just ignore the posted speed limits in the Hiram jurisdiction?

If we go in as a group, and put "Dallas Hwy" on the back do we ALL get the "discount"? 8)

I wonder how long it will be before we see police cars looking like race cars with a lot of sponsors logos on them?

:thumbsup

I read elsewhere that the Crist guy bought the car for the popo and gave it to them free and clear (don't recall the reason). Maybe that was a way of saying thanks, or maybe a condition of the gift? It is...odd, though.
