The reason teenagers suck so bad that is!!! Certainly God knew that we would love our children and want to keep them home and safe and baby them forever. So He said "Hmmm...there has to be a way to teach these humans to let go". So he gave us the teenage years! This way, they would act stupid, selfish, self-important, like know-it-alls, smartasses and dumbasses, and downright unbearable at times. This makes us WANT to let go!
Yay God!!!! He is really smart :) :CLAP :cheer1

There is a flaw in that lightbulb moment. The ones that behave and we don't ever want to leave! :'(

awww...maybe its because I've been a mom as long as I've been an adult. I'm counting down the days to both my boys starting their own lives outside of my home. I'm sure when the time comes, I'll dread it, but right now...I'm down to less than 5 years!

I know, I know...I'm going to hell lol

I guess I was lucky. Actually, I know I was. I wanted mine to live at home forever.

But, I know they have to leave the nest. I've been blessed, though, that the baby bird still loves to spend time with her parental birds.

Same with us, Bro. But at the same time, I know that "pull" to be on her own is there. I understand that and make every effort for her to know she has a home to come back to forever, but support her decision to break away if needed. I didn't have that support and made the decision early on that I would be different.

And both your kids are boys. I think it does tend to take a toll on a person... Bless your heart. :)

Girls Rule! I have 2 grown boys out and about, but now my granddaughter is moving to the garage apartment beside my home, and I am thinking I am going to enjoy this! AND, her boyfriend is such a gentleman and helpful. The future shall tell! I DO LOVE my boys, but talking about irresponsible, geez, do they EVER grow wings and fly? My granddaughter is more responsible than both of them! :angel

LOl Boys are tough....I was not prepared on how different my kids are..my daughter has been easy..I am very blessed but my son, man oh man I wasn't prepared for this age. He has been a good kid overall (not a trouble maker) Just hates school, but he is still my baby and I love him dearly...just keep telling myself, this stage and age to shall pass. :HAHA

You parents with boys...just threaten them that they'd better straighten up or you'll make them sit in JR's office whilst he's eating peanuts.

After today, and yet another email that he can't keep quiet, and another scheduled conference, and an email that he didn't turn in a paper that I know for a fact he did, his wrestling career is over before it begins, and he's currently without a phone. :rant
