Georgia Statewide Ballot Questions

Taking Baby Bunny to vote and then we are going to a puppet show,
not sure that there will be all that much difference between the two.

I took the princess with me this morning. She brought in her pen and paper so she could make sure I did it right...

How I voted:

Republican Ballot:

Should Georgia have casino gambling with funds going to education? NO NO

· Do you support ending the current practice of unlimited gifts from lobbyists to state legislators by imposing a $100 cap on such gifts? Not answering YES

· Should active duty military personnel who are under the age of 21 be allowed to obtain a Georgia weapons license? YES NO

· Should citizens who wish to vote in a primary election be required to register by their political party affiliation at least thirty (30) days prior to such primary election? YES NO

· Should the Constitution of Georgia be amended so as to provide that the paramount right to life is vested in each innocent human being from his or her earliest biological beginning without regard to age, race, sex, health, function, or condition of dependency. YES NO

And I approve this message of my votes. :neenerbutt
JJ your votes are your decision and I respect that, but I had not heard many people say that they would not want a 20 year old to be able to hold a weapons license who is defending our country. (and probably knows more about guns than most) If you do not mind explaining your reasoning I would love to hear it. (I really have not read or heard of that side.)

I look at a 18 to 20 year old as a 18 to 20 year old. When ALL of the 18 to 20 year olds get a weapon license then I will agree for the 18 to 20 military folks getting a weapon license. In my opinion that should never happen.
JJ I thought long and hard about this and I agree with you. Military or not there are a lot of 18 year olds who should not be allowed to carry guns. They have a lot of testosterone flowing and their brains are not developed in the judgement areas. Some of the same things that make them good soldiers would make them risks when carring guns on the street.

I bet we brought him back from the dark side. ;D

Ummm, I don't think so. ;D

However JohnnyJ is a pretty good guy, we just have different views on politics. I think he's more conservative than even he'll admit.

True, I am very conservative...like old-time Democrat Conservative, not this liberal stuff ushered in in the 70's.

My wife and I were talking about that the other day. The southern conservative Dems were more conservative than a lot of today's Republicans. I'd take a Zell Miller or Sam Nunn over most of the idiots (on both sides) in government today.

It's the liberal socialist wing of the Dems that is killing us. And gutless Republicans...

Yep and Nathan Dean is one of those old Southern Democrats, I think they should hold classes on how Gentlemen and Statesmen are supposed to act. Charlie Watts would also be a great teacher of those manners.
