Remind your liberal friends.....

One of my closest friends is an Obama hating conservative. Honestly she is one of my favorite people and I love hanging out with her. We just don't discuss politics. I don't need her to see things my way and she doesn't need me to see things her way. We have a mutual respect for each other and our beliefs and opinions. There's so much more to life than politics. I actually don't have any close friends who agree with me politically but we still have a hell of a good time when we get together.

So, you have smart friends? :D

Seriously...I agree with you.

Just personal experience.

Of course, you can add to my list if you want. :)
What bothers me about this kind of post is that it entirely ignores the real world. People have a lot of diverse opinions for a lot of reasons. Many people have a mix of views from all over the spectrum. This kind of thing claims there is "us" and the "other." Naturally, the "other" could not have come to its opinions through reason and evidence.

Read the equivalent type of post written by a liberal. It's just as unrealistic and just as useless. The ones written by liberals further convince liberals that conservatives are stupid and can't be reasoned with. Two intelligent people can look at the same evidence and come to different conclusions, especially with something as grey as politics. Diversity of opinion is healthy. Sometimes I'll even take the side I don't agree with just to get some healthy debate going.

Well, opinion is what it was. My opinion.

If I meant to pass it off as an official study based on research, I would have posted support for it.
