Ruth Bader Ginsburg has died

I think Lindsey Graham is scared to death he's going to lose his Senate seat. I keep seeing ads pop up for him on FB with him stating his opponent is killing him when it comes to campaign fundraising. Hannity had him on last night to talk to him about enough votes in the Senate to confirm a new justice and Graham kept going back to how he needs more campaign money and giving his campaign website url for Hannity viewers to donate. It was pathetic.

Well, even though he's become a firebrand for Trump, his overall crareer is one of being pretty namby pamby. And I'm pretty sure he has been part of the swamp.

Some republicans are floating the idea of making a deal with the democrats. Hearings are done before the election but, if Trump loses, the nomination would not come to a vote so Biden would get to pick someone. This is in exchange for democrats agreeing to not pack the court, end the filibuster, or attempt to add DC and PR as states.

I hope this is not a serious consideration. This would be a horrible deal.
So they would give the Democrats the court to keep them from taking the court. That sounds like the Republican Senate alright.

From Article Six of the Constitution, " The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States."

When Amy Barrett was nominated for a seat on the 7th Circuit Court, Sen. Dianne Feinstein attempted to use Barrett's strong religious beliefs as a means to disqualify her from the federal bench; “The dogma lives loudly within you,” Feinstein told Barrett, “and that’s of concern when you come to big issues that large numbers of people have fought for, for years in this country.”

Barrett is now Trump's short list to be nominated for the now vacant seat on the SCOTUS and the left is going nuts over her strong religious beliefs and because of them should be blocked from the appointment. It appears the Democrats pick and choose what parts of the Constitution they will adhere to and other parts to simply ignore as if they don't exist. The Democrats actions serve to prove they don't care about a SCOTUS that makes legal decisions base upon the Constitution; but instead want a high court that will decide that unconstitutional legislation they pass is supported by a much liberal court. Such a court would prove to be very dangerous for the people of this country as more and more rights guaranteed by the Constitution would be taken away from us.
