The Mandate

Children’s Health Defense Sues Rutgers University over COVID Vaccine Mandate

According to the complaint, the Rutgers vaccine requirement “is an affront to human dignity and personal freedom because it violates our basic right to control our bodies.”

The lawsuit states that in a free society, “all people have the right to decide their own medical treatment — especially to decide what to inject into their bodies. And every person has the right to make that decision voluntarily, free from coercion by anyone, and to be fully informed of the benefits and especially the risks of that decision.”

The lawsuit alleges Rutgers’ policy is a violation of the right to informed consent and the right to refuse unwanted medical treatments.

The complaint also alleges the policy is a breach of contract because in January 2021, the university assured students COVID vaccines would not be required in order to attend school. Just two months later, Rutgers flip-flopped and issued new requirements for taking the shot prior to attending classes.

According to the plaintiffs, Rutgers is working with all three manufacturers — Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson — to study and develop their vaccines in on-going clinical trials, and will benefit financially if more people are required to take the shots which, until fully licensed by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), are defined by the FDA as experimental.

Should prove interesting. Since you can't sue the manufacturer, or the government, or the medical staff, can you sue the company that forces you to get the killer shot after you develop problems like blood clots or die? Company's need to be thinking about this before they force their employees to get the shot. Even if a employee tries to sue could tie up their business for a time and cause major problems.

Just found this.

...can you sue the company that forces you to get the killer shot after you develop problems like blood clots or die....
Isn't it ironic how everyone is immune except for possibly the business community. What a novel idea of how to kill capitalism and force socialism. But nothing interesting here folks, just keep watching your sports and reality tv shows.

This headline is a bit misleading; it's not criticizing the vaccine, it's slamming the mandate and the lack of recognition for natural immunity.

I will be experiencing the California mandates soon. We are heading to L.A. to a concert on Dec 1. My wife is not vaccinated and does not plan to be. She will be able to attend the concert as they just require a negative test up to 72 hours before the event. Now as for going out to eat before or after the concert? That is a whole other issue as those are requiring proof of vaccination unless it is an outside restaurant. My guess is I will be getting food to go and take back to hotel room. Myself, I am not too keen on wearing a damn mask for a 4 hour flight and the entire time I am at the concert. I will deal with it for my kid as this concert is her dream event. I will let you know how it goes once the trip is over.

That's the beauty of it, it's your choice and your family's choice to decide whether it's worth the effort. I'm in complete support of such a position. I hope you all enjoy the trip and I hope your daughter enjoys her dream concert. Can't wait to hear how it goes.

Father of the year right there! It will be worth it... even though in your core, you know it is wrong for the government to be able to mandate what Los Angeles has mandated.

I dreaded my trip to Hawaii, and in the end I am happy I went to have the memories with my kids and my brother's wedding.

To go to hawaii, before you can get on the plane, we all had to stand in a long line to upload the vax card with our government ID, (but if they ask for ID when you vote it is racists?) The address where you would be staying while in Hawaii, the phone number of where you would be staying, and flight information departure and return flights- and this is America?

Then they stuck a bracelet on us like at the hospital which marked us as the vaccinated. And this is America?

Then when we got off the plane to connect to the next flight the ones with a bracelet were herded into one exit, the ones without a bracelet had to go stand in the line for the "unclean" where they were monitored so they could be tracked for 10 days. And this is America?

In Hawaii, all places you go you must wear a mask. At my brother's wedding anytime you stood up they came and told you to put your mask on - we were seated outside. Seated, we could have our mask off... stand up, must put mask on... so stupid.

The covid rates are dropping quickly out here, even though the politicians are trying their hardest to convince everyone we need to be locked up again. Hopefully by December Los Angeles will have changed the rules. Even San Francisco is starting to have mask fatigue. The population is tired of this.

This whole thing is just so stupid.
It really is.

There are rumblings soon you won't be able to fly unless vaccinated. (Even though being vaxed does not mean you won't get covid!)

My kids are not vaxed. The one who lives in Hawaii (26 years old) with his wife are moving before he and his wife can't get on an airplane to leave Hawaii. Plus the governor there is a wacko like Biden. He is trying to shut the islands down. Hard to earn a living when your government wants to squash you.

They are looking at moving to Tennessee, Idaho, Florida, Nevada, or Texas. We'll see where they finally decide. My son in Idaho invited them to land there while they decide where to settle.

They are selling everything and plan to move back to the mainland this month. Crazy time we are living through.

The vaccine is not going to end this... herd immunity, after having Covid, will end this. Had the doctors had more liberty to use all medicine to try for better outcomes, we may have drugs to combat Covid, instead of a jab that at most works a few months... or maybe not at all?

Nearly 60% of hospitalized COVID-19 patients in Israel fully vaccinated, data shows

And the real world pushes back.

Some have speculated that many flights were canceled due to a strike among Southwest pilots. The Southwest Airlines Pilots Association, which on Friday asked the courts to temporarily stop a COVID-19 vaccine mandate for members, alleging a violation of labor law, has denied the theory is behind the cancellations.

In a statement Sunday, the Federal Aviation Administration said that no shortage of air traffic control employees had been reported since Friday, and suggested “some airlines” were currently having problems because crews and aircraft were not where they needed to be.
