Ugh, my new washer

Okay, it's not that new. BUT last week while I had the kids helping with the laundry, a small chunk got taken out of the door seal of my washing machine. (I'm assuming a jean button got hung and the kids just jerked, but I'm not sure.) I'm washing today AND IT LEAKED. Ugh. Not a lot, but enough to be annoying. What a pain in the :neenerbutt .

Yet another reason to resist the front-load movement. I will buy used washing machines if I have to to avoid having to if they ever stop making top load machines.

No, the leak isn't bad. A towel took care of it just fine. It's just an annoyance that I really didn't need right now.

Sorry to hear about it. :( Stay focused on the positive ... your son is back in football! Woohoo!!

Sorry to hear about your leak. I have a front load washer and really like it.

Sorry Madea. Can you get a new seal?

My steam front load washer and steam dryer was the best purchase I have ever made. Ever. I love them.

We bought a front loader used on Craig's list. Seems to work pretty dang well. Pleasantly surprised at how much we can cram in there!

I love my washing machine! Best one I've purchased ever! I'm going to check tomorrow and see if its a warranty item. If not I'll have to order the new seal. In the meantime I told my husband to see if he could move the tear to the top. :laugh

Hey that is actually a good idea!

He looked at me like I was nuts. :)) Then we had to leave to come to my parents house. I'm going to make him try when we get home.

No, I think it is a great idea. Not much water ever touches the top. :thumbsup

Sounds like a good idea ..

But.

I wouldn't try too hard. It may be "keyed" so as not to allow it spin around. If so, trying to turn it may break the key and make things worse.

Jest saying ...

After dinner at my parents, and a trip to Walmart (the Hiram one :)) ) I came home and my son announced YOU DIDN'T FINISH THE LAUNDRY. I NEED THESE FOR PRACTICE TOMORROW!

So, I looked at the rubber seal and it's in there pretty tight. I really would hate to make it worse. So, I'll call Maytag tomorrow and find out what I should do.

Nope. :laugh slipped on my capris and toughed it out. I did go ahead and pick up school supplies.

I was in a WalMart recently that made the experience of the Hiram WalMart seem enjoyable. Truly frightening.
