Braves 2022

After the Braves won last night, Dansby Swanson was interviewed by ESPN and I'll have to admit, I was impressed. He's very well spoken and extremely knowledgeable. Chop chop

Agreed. Hopefully the Braves are able to sign him to another contract. It won't be cheap though.

CONGRATS to THE BRAVES....another eastern division championship.... That's 5 in a row folks.!!!! chop chop
Again this year I didn’t give them much of a chance at the first part of the season. They pulled off yet another great turn-a-round and disproved the skeptics. I will say I still don’t agree with Jansen’s jerky motions, especially with runners on base. How he made it this far without “balk” issues from umpires is beyond me. We wouldn’t want to have to deal with it if he pitched against us.

In other baseball news....Aaron Judge hits his 62nd home run for the season surpassing Roger Maris in setting a new all-time AL record for the most homers in regular season play. I'm not a Yankee's fan at all but I respect this accomplishment. Judge seems to be a good example for young players he seems to be "good for baseball" so far in his career. Well done young man.

He's opting for free agency when the season is over. He turned down an eight-year $230 million contract to stay with the Yankees.

Judge is going to make a ton of money. He's got two problems though. He's already 30 and has had injury/health issues in the past. Not many teams have the $$ to pay the amount he likely thinks he deserves.

I'm going to guess he turned down the Yankees' offer because he doesn't want a long contract because of his age. He may want a five-year contract worth $150 million.

It wasn’t looking good early in the game but at least they made a game of it in the late innings and had a chance.
