Covid is right here, and it's getting bad fast.

Our 30 year old daughter and her husband got their first round. When I asked them how they were able to get it they said they knew the pharmacist who called them one afternoon to say they had 14 “extra” shots to give because of appointment cancellations from earlier that day and that the vaccine had to be used that day or discarded so they both rushed to the hospital to get their first round and are now automatically enrolled for the second round. My brother and his wife received their first round the same way this week from the same hospital. At least it’s not being wasted. Oh, and it was the Moderna vaccine.
There are several cancer patients I know who have gotten their vaccines this way. They literally hang out in front of clinics with signs that say "I have cancer". The employees will usually pick them first for the leftovers.

Kiddo was sent home from school Monday, entire class has to quarantine.

They said she was exposed on the 25th... so we get notified 8 days later.

The cat's already out of the bag after a weekend of sports and playing with friends.

And she is once again devastated and isolated from her peers...
forced to pretend the screen is a substitute for real education.

I keep telling her that this too shall pass and things will get better... she no longer believes me.

:(:(:(

Well, everyone in Guard Daughter's house (except the baby, they didn't test her) tested negative, which is surprising because the oldest can't taste or smell. They said to keep an eye on her, could be that she has it but too early to test positive.

But for now we're taking it as a win.

Sound Guy - So sorry about your dad. Lifting up your family.

I'm real sorry for your loss SG. My father will be 88 in May and we've seen his health decline quite a bit the last couple of years since Mom passed away.

I am so sorry.

Nothing is more painful in this world than losing someone you love so dearly.

I pray that God sends comfort to you and your family, gives peace, restores hope, and lavishes you with love, family, and belonging.

Cherish your memories and speak of them often with friends and family to keep your dad alive in your heart. :love1: That is a very nice photo of him.

Nickel on the Grass. Aviator, Architect, husband and father, my dad has flown home. We had plenty of time to say all the things we wanted to say since he was diagnosed last Feb so that was a good thing. The Blood cancer killed him, Covid was just the trigger. Bye dad. Love you. Sorry for your loss SG. My family knows all too well how COVID can help trigger underlying conditions to take a loved ones life. Remember all the good times and keep his memories in your heart. Prayers to you and your family.
