Covid is right here, and it's getting bad fast.

95% of people are no longer doing any safeguards. No mask, no nothing.

You gotta expect it to rise some in that case. We have too many who are unvaccinated and haven't had it yet. Herd immunity is not here.
I hear a ton of people saying they're not getting the vaccine and they aren't going to wear a mask. I secretly wish those people get it and it makes them the sickest they ever been. Then they will have some immunity while wishing they had gotten the vaccines.

That was quite ugly, probably should have kept that secret.

I figure the ones who will get it will probably not be that sick, but then will have immunity... thus helping herd immunity.

Any statistics on the age of people who are getting sick? Any stats on the deaths/hospitalizations?

In my city we have been hovering around 80 new sick and about 1 to 2 a week are being announced as dying of it.

Not many getting the India variant.

OK, this isn't funny!

Combine everyone no longer doing any sort of social distancing or wearing masks with the more contagious variants and this is what we get. At my office, it is almost like there never was a pandemic...no masks and everyone congregating right next to each other. Maybe all that is OK but I'm a little worried we're headed back to some numbers higher than anyone expects.

Yep. Black Widow comes out today... it would be interesting to see how packed the theaters are. 500 people sharing the same air and if only one has a non-symptom case of covid, by the end of the three hours of previews/movie, everyone not vaccinated in the theater will likely have it as well.

No thanks. We purchased Disney+ and the Movie and will be watching from the comfort of our home theater.

Total Humbug! Georgia has the fewest number of new cases per 100k people at 12, since the madness started around March 14th of 2020. It has been that way for 3 days. Don't forget that we are just out of the July 4th holidays, so a few extra cases can be expected but aren't showing up yet.
