Covid is right here, and it's getting bad fast.

A handful of scientists have been talking about T cells for some time now, but it seems more are finding out about them lately. There is still a whole lot that medical science don't understand about this virus.

Update on my office staff...my service manager also took a lab test when he had the quick test Friday. The quick test came back negative, but the lab called him today and said he was positive.

So we're now assuming they all had Omicron, and that it started with my partner. I'm the only one out of the office staff who didn't get sick, even though I sat across a desk from him for half an hour the day he exposed all of us. So maybe my antibodies protected me? At least so far.

Antibodies for the win!

Hopefully, you got enough of them for your body to make a template and add some more Omicron specific ones too.

Found out my wife and I (we are both in our 70s) were exposed at a small family gathering over Christmas. One person 26 young and healthy tested positive Monday was fairly sick for 2 days doing better now. My daughter sick today shes in her 50s and vaccinated but no booster. We are fully vaccinated + booster (Pfizer) I guess we’ll find out how good the jabs are.
Update
It’s been over two weeks since our exposure,we never showed any symptoms at all. I’m thinking the vaccine and booster helped. Who knows?

Well, now my daughter is positive, but she's not very sick.

More concerning...my son-in-law's grandfather is positive, and he is eighty something and has to carry around an oxygen machine even when well. So we're really worried about him.

Waiting to see how many of the granddaughters get it.

There goes my theory if you had the old covid, you would not get Omicron. They all had it before right?
My daughter had it when I did, though she had a much milder case.

We only know for sure that the middle grand had it before, and that was at least a year and a half ago.

I don't think either the vaccine or prior infection will stop Omicron, it has too many different spiked proteins.

I was ready to start licking door knobs to get Omicron and get it over with... have natural immunity and move on with life... if we all get it, it dies there. We win.

If I didn't have these crappy lungs, I would almost be willing to go to an Omicron party (reference measles exposure of years past). But given what I went through, I have a healthy respect for the WuFlu.

As previously mentioned...I'm the only one of my office staff who didn't recently get it, and was probably the most exposed. Or maybe I did and the case was very mile. There was a day or two I had strange back aches and more coughing than normal, but I didn't think much about it at the time.

Yeh, I think you had your own chicken pox/WuFlu party in your office. ;) I was thinking your natural immunity protected you. Where I hesitate is your family should have been protected too... but they got it.

So now I am rethinking my licking door knob strategy....:dunno:
