Electric vehicles....

China is going to clean our crock with EVs. Word is that some cheap Chinese EVs will be hitting our market anytime now. It will be like the 70s all over again when Japanese brands flooded our country because of the oil crises, but probably worse. I think Ford and GM will be in big trouble, and some of the EV start-ups will belly up.
Sales of Chinese EVs in this country will have a fast and steep climb in sales. However, the reverse will follow because our infrastructure will not be able to handle the increased electrical use to charge them. Just think in all those northern states when the power goes out for hours during winter. Those furnaces won't be able to keep them warm. They and their pipes will freeze. We can't forget about power outages in the south preventing air conditions from running. In either situation, people will die as a result.

No One In The U.S. Really Wants To Buy Electric Vehicles

All the greenies jumped at the chance to show off their 'greenness" and get one. But the market is just not there for the rest of the country.

I was at a Zaxby's the other day and it's next to a tesla charging station at the edge of the public parking lot. 3 or 4 cars in it with people just sitting there waiting for a charge. What a waste of time.

NASA may have just cracked the code for replacing lithium in batteries: ‘Double or even triple the energy’

This may sound like good news, but it's not. Unless the battery system on an EV can recharge itself, it's not a viable option for the combustion engine. There will not be enough power plants to handle the increased use of electricity because the greenies want to eliminate coal and nuclear power plants and replace them with solar farms and windmills.

She said ''massive truck bed.'' You couldn't get a 4x8 sheet of plywood in that thing. Worthless as a truck.
Most new half-ton trucks have a much smaller bed, less than 6'. They put the space into the larger cab.

I love the big cab in mine, but a couple of time when I got a load of lumber I did miss the larger bed. The Tundra had a 6.5' bed.

Study casts doubt on electric vehicles' climate, cost benefits: 'Won't achieve the goals intended'

I agree. The mining operations to obtain nickel, lithium, and cobalt have a carbon footprint. EVs result in an increase in electrical use that will require additional power plants. You can't discount how the left is pushing to eliminate the use of gas appliances, which will also increase electricity use. These climatologists give the impression that using natural gas provides a larger carbon footprint than all the private jets their rich and political supporters use.

I can see it now. In a world where everything the commoner uses runs on electricity, we can't use any of it because the power grid keeps crashing. Now those rich people will be using natural gas power generators to keep everything running at their homes when they aren't off globetrotting in their private jets.
